For weekly golf leagues

Post your score. Everything else keeps up.

Stableford scoring built for a league that plays every week. We set it up with you and run your first night alongside you.

Built for one league. Now a few more.

Fescue started as the scoring app for a 24-player Tuesday league that had outgrown its spreadsheet. It does what that league needed: live scoring the whole field can see, standings that settle the moment a week closes, and payouts that come out the same every time.

Your league picks a scoring table and whether players get a target, handicap strokes or neither, and both are fixed once a week has closed. Nothing inside that choice is a setting. The point values come with the table, targets move by the same rule for everyone, and no league writes its own payout scale. That is what keeps the scoring honest and the money predictable. If your league plays something we do not run yet, tell us before your season starts.

If you run the league

Set it up once. Close it every week.

  • Build the roster and pairings before anyone has signed up
  • Close the week in one pass. Standings, targets and payouts settle together
  • Name a sub without their round landing on a member's record
  • One ledger for the season, so week four still adds up in August
If you play in it

Keep your card. Watch the money.

  • Post scores hole by hole and watch the field move
  • See your target and what tonight did to it
  • Skins and pins tallied before you reach the clubhouse
  • League chat and a recap when the week closes
The Play screen during a round: the week's card with every player in the group, each hole scored and its stableford points beside it. The Clubhouse screen: season rank, year-to-date points, target and winnings, with this week's recap and scorecard below. The league group chat before a round, players needling each other about who is running late.

Membership

We set leagues up one at a time. Tell us who plays and what night. We build the roster and the schedule, then run the first week with you.

Your first two weeks

Free

Every league starts here, with nothing held back.

  • Live hole-by-hole scoring the whole field can see
  • Your pick of scoring table, played individually or in two-man teams
  • Weekly standings, targets and season points
  • Skins, closest-to-the-pin and the weekly pot
  • Pairings, subs and absences
  • League chat, notifications and weekly recaps

We do the setup with you while we are still onboarding by hand.

After that

Annual

One subscription for the league, once a year.

  • Everything above, for the whole season
  • No feature held back for paying leagues

Not built yet, so nothing is billing today. We will tell your league the price before it owes anything.

Questions

If yours is not here, email us. We answer these ourselves.

Do we need handicaps to use this?

No. Nothing gets filed with a handicap authority either way. One way is a target: your own scoring average in stableford points, set from what you post and corrected every week. No index, no slope, no course rating. A hot round raises your target, and a blow-up only drops it so far. The other is handicap strokes, where the app still works your index out from the rounds you post instead of asking you to bring one. A new player plays off whatever their commissioner seeds, or scratch until there is enough golf to measure. That one needs your course's rating, slope and stroke index before the season starts.

What happens when someone can't make it?

Flag it in advance. Your commissioner can name a sub or leave the slot empty. Either way the absent player stays out of the pot, and a sub's round never lands on the member's record.

Do we have to play for money?

No. The standings work at any stake, including none. We set the buy-in with you when we build the league, and plenty of leagues play for the standings alone.

Is there an app, or is this a website?

A website today, built to install on your phone's home screen and run like an app. The App Store and Google Play are where it is headed. Leagues do not have to wait on store review to start playing.

How does a new player join?

Your commissioner texts them a link. They tap it, pick their slot and they are in. The slot was already on the roster waiting for them.

What will it cost?

Your first two weeks are free, and after that a league pays once a year. That is two nights played and two weeks closed before anyone asks you for a card. The price is not set and none of the billing is built, so nothing is charging today. We will tell your league the price before it owes anything.

Taking leagues for the coming season

Tell us about your league.

How many play, what night, what you play for. We will have the roster and the schedule ready before your opener.
